Using the StorePep WooCommerce app

To get started, download the StorePep app from Google Play Store. The app is currently available only for android market and will soon be available on Apple’s App Store too. Fret not, we are on our way!

Open the app and follow through our welcome screen to reach login window as shown on the right:

Specifying store URL:

Enter your store URL, and specify the protocol level by selecting the desired radio button option.
Next, click on the forward arrow button to proceed further.

To connect your WooCommerce store with our StorePep app, you will need API credentials from your WooCommerce API settings. If you don’t have these credentials, refer this section of the document.
You can enter credentials in either of the following two ways:

1) Entering API credentials manually:

If you are accessing your WooCommerce site from your mobile device, copy the consumer key and consumer secret and paste it in respective textbox options provided.

2) Scan QR Code:

If you are accessing your store from your desktop/laptop, simply click Scan QR and scan the QR code and the respective API keys will be automatically copied to your app, as shown on the right.

Once both the credentials are entered, click Sign In.

Dashboard

Once you sign in, you end up in the app dashboard, which shows few quick statistics about the sales on your store. The app is layered with four main tabs in the bottom – Dashboard, Orders, Products and Customers.

Dashboard further contains three tabs – Reports, Orders and Top Sellers.

1) Reports:

This section shows sales report which includes information about sales statistics, refunds, number of items sold, new customers during that time period and so on. By default, the sales report is about the current day. You can change the report view using a filter option present in the top right corner of the app. You can view reports for Today, Yesterday, Last 7 days, This Month, Last Month or can choose a Custom Date as well.
For demonstration purpose, let us filter reports of last month, the steps are as shown in the screenshots below:

2) Orders:

The orders tab in the dashboard shows the order details of the specified time period (in our example, last month). To view orders tab, you can either swipe right from Reports tab or click on Orders tab.
The Orders screen also shows orders categorized by their current statuses, which includes Pending, Processing, On Hold, Completed, Cancelled, Failed and Refunded orders. To view orders of one type of status, say processing, click on Processing to view all its orders, as shown in the screenshots:

3) Top Sellers:

As the name implies, displays the top selling products of that time period (in our example, last month).

The product information consists of product ID, product name and quantity sold.

Orders

All orders from your WooCommerce store will be displayed in this section. Order views are also filtered by their current order statuses, which includes Pending Payment, Processing, On Hold, Completed, Cancelled, Refunded and Failed orders. You can move to other order views by swiping left or right, or click on the desired order status, as shown below:

Tip: Searching Orders

Searching a specific order is now easy. The app provides a search option in top right corner of the app. You can search an order by order number, payment method or customer name, as shown below:

If you have more number of orders, you can click Load more Orders option to view more orders.

Click on a order to view further details. The order details are further divided into three sections – General, Order Items and Order Notes.

1) General:

The General section consists of order status, order date, payment method, shipping method, customer shipping and billing address, contact details, shipping rate, tax rate, discount and total cost of the order.

The StorePep app provides some handy options to administer your store smoothly. It provides options to update order status, and edit/update shipping as well as billing address.
To update order status, simply click the order status and select the available order status from the pop-up list (Pending, Processing, On-Hold, Completed, Cancelled, Failed and Refunded), and click Update (See screenshot 1).
To update shipping address, click on Edit option next to Map option in the shipping address and click Update (See screenshot 2). Similar steps for updating billing address (screenshot 3).

Tip: Using Google Map for address and native apps for contact details.

StorePep integrates Google Map application for locating shipping address and billing address. To use this feature, click on Map option in the respective address.

Similarly, you can use native apps for email and phone information as shown in the screenshots on the right.

2) Order Items:

This section lists all the items that ordered by the customer. To view order items, swipe right from order details or click on Order Items.
The order details consists of product ID, product name, quantity ordered, item price and total price.

3) Order Notes:

Customer notes as well as order notes can be found in this section. To view order notes, swipe right from Order Items or click on Order Notes.

Adding a custom note – The plugin provides an option to add a custom order note. You can click Add Order Note to add a new order note. If you wish to let customers see the order note, check the Customer Note option, as shown:

Products

The Products section displays all products of your WooCommerce store. Product views are also categorized into divisions, as shown below:

Tip: Searching Products

If you have more number of products, then searching for a specific product might be little hard. For this, the StorePep app provides a product search option in top right corner of the app. You can search a product by its product id, product name or stock status(in stock/out of stock). If a product is not found, the app allows you to search your store for the result, as shown in the screenshots below:

Click on a product to view more information. The product information is divided into three sections – General, Stocks/Price/Props and Reviews.

1) General:

This section displays product images, product information such as product type, sale price and customer rating.
The app also displays description and product short description, which can be edited with the help of rich text editor available within the app.

2) Stocks/Price/Props:

This section helps you view and configure product settings. You can enable or disable specific product properties to be viewed in Product Properties.
In the Stock & Price section, you can update product stock, sale price and regular price. You can also update or add shipping class to the product.

3) Reviews:

Displays all customer reviews related to the respective product.

Each review consists of review number, customer name, date of review, rating, customer email address and their product review.

Customers

This tab displays all customers who have signed up to your store.

The customer information includes customer ID, customer name, number of orders made, total amount spent, and order number as well as order date of last order made.

Click on a customer option to view more information. The customer details include username, date & order number of last order, total amount spent, total number of orders made by customer and date of customer signing up to your store.
It also includes customer contact details, billing and shipping address.

Tip: Searching Customers

The StorePep app allows you to search a specific customer from customer list, by provides a search option in top right corner of the app. You can search a customer by customer id or customer name, as shown in the screenshots on the right:

Enabling App Notification

With StorePep app, you can receive app notifications. This will give you an upper hand on your store business processes. With this app, you can receive app notifications whenever:
1) a new order is placed on your store.
2) order status is changed to specified order status in the plugin settings.
3) a product goes low on stock.
4) a product is out of stock.
5) a customer signs up to your store.

To enable app notification for orders on your mobile device, you should install StorePep WooCommerce App Integration plugin on your WooCommerce store. This is a free plugin available in WordPress plugin repository.

Following are the steps for installing and enabling notifications:

1) Installing and activating StorePep WooCommerce App Integration plugin:

In your WordPress plugin repository, search StorePep WooCommerce App Integration or simply StorePep. The search result displays our plugin. You can install and activate it, as shown below:

2) Enabling notifications:

To configure notifications, move to WooCommerce > Settings > StorePep App Settings. The settings are as shown below:

    Enable this option to receive app notification on your StorePep mobile app.

    Order Notification Settings:

    This setting contains of two settings related to order notifications.
    1) New Order Notification – Enable this option to receive app notification whenever a new order is placed on your store.

    2) Order Status Change – If you would like you receive notifications only when status of order is changed/updated to specific order status, you can select your desired order status(es) in this dropdown list option, as shown below:

    3) Low Stock Alert – Enable this option to receive notifications when a product attains low stock.

    4) Out of Stock Alert – Enable this option to receive notifications when a product is out of stock.

    5) Customer Notification Settings – Enable this option to receive notifications when a customer signs up to your store.

    Getting WooCommerce API credentials

    The first step is to obtain WooCommerce API credentials which will help you login to your store with our StorePep app.

    Following are the steps for the same:

    Enabling Permalinks:

    To enable permalinks, move to Settings > Permalinks on your WordPress menu. Except the first option – Plain, you can select any one of the permalink format. A screenshot of the respective settings are as shown below:

    Generating API Keys

    The WooCommerce REST API works on a key system to control access. These keys are linked to WordPress users on your website. To create or manage keys for a specific WordPress user, move to WooCommerce > Settings > API > Keys/Apps, as shown in the screenshot below:

    Once configured, click Generate API key.

    A Consumer key, Consumer secret and a QRCode will be generated for the user, as shown in the screenshot below:

    While logging into the app, you can either use consumer API keys or QRCode. You can take a screenshot of the key details, as this data will be used while logging in to your store with our StorePep WooCommerce App.
